there were tears today as my 6 year old gifted son struggled with a basic question that shouldn't have been met with a meltdown:
'From your reader, select one thing in the book that you enjoyed and explain the reasons for you answer'
How does a child with a deep appreciation for literacy respond to 'just one' aspect.
His teacher asked why he was crying.
His response ' I just can't do it!'
'i can't choose just one. I liked the whole book!'
