Moving from Holland to Australia

Hi everyone,

I'm Anna, me and my husband are seriously thinking of immigrating to Australia. We now live in Holland with our gifted 5 year old boy and a little girl of 2,5.

The oldest is in a regular school but this is not working out very well. He's bored and understimulated even though he already accelerated one year. He will be starting in a new school shortly. This is a special school that has a full time gifted class and a trained teacher for children from years 6 to 12. We are very hopeful about this new school.

We will be moving sometime at the end of 2018. Right now Queensland looks very promising, but we would like to guide our decision further based on the availability of good schooling.

Does anyone here know if there are schools that offer fulltime education for the gifted? If not, which schools would you recommend?

Any help is more than welcome!

Re: Moving from Holland to Australia

Hi Anna
I am in NSW
Queensland is a VERY big state and it would depend on location.
in smaller communities, there is often a lack of classes that are specifically G&T simply due to small school sizes.
hopefully someone can give you some information though
