wow... what next??

Hello everyone... this is so new and scarey for us. Our 4yo daughter was given a WPPSI-III test as part of testing for a rare genetic condition she has. We knew she was bright but we are floored by her results. Concidering part of the condition she has is sever developement delay ( of which she has none) her score came back as 130. We have no idea where to go to from here and as she is allergic to light we are worried as she is unable at this stage to attend a normal school, or school of any variety at the moment. We also live out in country nsw. Any advice would be fantastic

Re: wow... what next??

No advice I'm afraid but hopefully you'll get some words of encouragement from everyone here. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's allergies, that must be so tough! One thing I will say is that homeschooling seems an ideal option for meeting the needs of gifted children so don't feel that you're disadvantaging her by not being able to send her to school. Creating social opportunities for her is an area that needs consideration when homeschooling and you've got extras challenges in regards to this with your remoteness and the light allergy.
