This book can be used in many ways, as a Learning Centre for thinking skills or laminated cards to use as extension. The book contains more than 100 activities. Each card presents a mini lesson dealing with a thinking skill or concept. Examples includes: analyzing, brainstorming, evaluating, hypothesizing, organising and translating. Every lesson begins with a brief definition, a quick 'try this' exercise allows students to explore the skill or concept. In most cases, the activity takes less than 10 minutes and requires only a pencil and piece of paper. The book ends with a reading list that provides a sampler of books about memory improvement, problem solving and other thinking topics.
