Primary Schools north-West Melbourne
Hi, I am starting to look at a P.S for my gifted daughter (although she is not starting for a couple of years, but i really want to make an informed decision) We live in North-West Melbourne (Sydenham Area). We are willing to travel within reason (Keilor, Niddrie, Essendon, Melton) Does anybody know if any schools on this side of the city that could cater for her?

Re: Primary Schools north-West Melbourne
Hi there. I think this link was mentioned somewhere else on the forum: http://home.alphalink.com.au/~drednort/schoolsinvic.html
How old is your little girl?
We are in the northern suburbs of Melbourne :) We are currently looking at schooling options for our eldest, a 4yr old boy. Not sure whether we will be going down the home schooling path or not yet but I did find the link that I mentioned to be very informative. There actually turned out to be a lot more schools that cater for gifted students than I had first thought :)

Re: Primary Schools north-West Melbourne
Hi! Following are a few primary schools in Northern suburbs that I have heard are good for gifted kids and caters for them in various ways. Clifton Hill primary, Essendon North primary (individual learning programmes), Ascot Vale primary (composite classes, willing to accelerate if suitable). My experience with PEGS was not good. Did not feel they cater for Gifted kids in primary, quite sport oriented, I found all boys is not always a good enviorenment for gifted child who is more vulnerable for being bullied.
